International WIC Institute try to do research on Wisdom Web by studying Human Brain and use the research results into WI-centric technologies.
The underlying theories for International WIC Institute includes: World Wide Wisdom Web (W4), Cognitive Science, Problem Solving Markup Language (PSML), Web inference engine, Granular Computing, Brain Information processing, Brain Mining, etc.
We believe that the underlying theories for Web Intelligence and Brain Informatics will be the co-foundation for the research on "WI meets BI". For example, the research field of Brain Mining is a merging subject of Brain Informatics and Data Mining.
At WICI research lab for Ph.D Candidates, every of the PhD. candidate is provided with a research section including one personal computer, Leading International Journals, books and other important references.
Brain Informatics(BI) is a new interdisciplinary field to study human information processing mechanism systematically from both macro and micro point of views by cooperatively using experimental cognitive neruoscience WI centric advanced information technology. New instrumentation(fMRI etc) and advanced IT are causing an impending revolution in WI and Brain Sciences(BS).The WI based portal techniques will provide a new powerful platform for BI.The new understanding and discovery of human intelligence models in BI will yield a new generation of WI research development.
Brain Wave Lab includes some leading equipments for Brain Informatics Research (Such as BrainVision for fMRI and EEG related research).
